Hall County Elections is looking to recruit 600 poll workers for the upcoming election season and will be hosting a hiring drive March 26 – 28 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Hall County Government Center in Gainesville.
“We need poll workers who are willing to serve during the upcoming General Primary on May 21, as well as the General Election on November 5,” Hall County Elections Manager Paige Thompson said.
All poll workers must be at least 16 years of age and a resident of Hall County, although residents of neighboring counties may also qualify.
“Poll working is a crucial part of the election process and ensures Hall County continues to provide secure, successful and stress-free elections to citizens,” Thompson said. “It is important we find workers who are serious about elections, reliable and committed.”
All those eligible to serve as poll workers may apply, and Hall County Elections is especially seeking Spanish speakers to join their ranks.
Poll workers will receive paid, necessary training prior to the election season.
