It took just a brief rain delay, but Jackson County opened the first portion of its revamped Zion Church Road in Braselton on Tuesday morning.
The road project has been considered a major economic development venture to not only potentially open the area for new businesses, but ease long-time traffic issues in Braselton, as well.
This week’s opening will have motorists at a new traffic signal at the intersection of Ga. Hwy. 53 and Zion Church Road, which currently connects to the existing portion of the roadway near the former Braselton Academy.
